Call for Abstracts for the 2021 ANZSN Online ASM NOW OPEN

Abstract submission STRICTLY closes midnight (AEST) 23 April 2021. 

The ANZSN Scientific Program and Awards Committee invite the submission of abstracts for original work for consideration as an Award Oral, Mini-Oral, Lightning Talk or Poster in the ANZSN ASM program.

Associated with the abstract submission process, financial Members of the Society are encouraged to nominate for an ANZSN Award.

The Awards to be presented at the 56th ANZSN ASM will acknowledge the outstanding research contributions and achievements of our Members across both clinical and basic sciences.

NEW ISN-KI Early Career Researcher Award: Best Clinical and Basic Science publications in Kidney International

Kidney International has published many exciting research papers by Early Career Researchers across the globe in the last 2 years. They would like to recognise the exceptional quality of their research and their contribution to advancing kidney health by calling for nominations from our membership for the best original research papers published in Kidney International in 2019 and 2020. Two basic and two clinical science publications will be awarded after a review process.

Winners of these awards will receive $500 each and they will be presented at the 2021 Virtual World Congress of Nephrology.

Nominate Early Career Researchers you feel deserve recognition for their outstanding research before the deadline of February 23rd by completing the nomination here.

Baxter Healthcare ANZ PD Academy 2021

The ANZ PD Academy is a two-day academic course designed to help renal clinicians develop a sound knowledge of the principles of PD. The course is not affiliated to any particular institution or hospital. The PD Academy is accredited by the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD).

This well developed academic course is offered to clinicians who are motivated to develop their PD program by challenging practice and improving patient outcomes in their unit. PD Academy provides essential insight into PD treatments based on the highest quality evidence based practice. You will learn from key opinion leaders about best treatment practices, infection prevention and patient selection. 

The PD Academy has four broad aims:
● To improve the quality of life and maximize the quality of care of PD patients
● To promote a philosophy of integrated care amongst renal clinicians
● To give confidence to those managing or starting a PD program
● To develop future leaders in PD A core faculty of Consultant

Nephrologists develop and present the course. PD Academy is supported by an educational grant from Baxter Healthcare to provide the faculty with full independence.
