Training matters

Training requirements
This page contains information about Nephrology Advanced Training in Australia and New Zealand. It includes links to entry and program requirements, and the recently published Nephrology Advanced Training and Professional Qualities Curricula.

Training requirements - Nephrology
The "2008 Requirements for Physician Training" do not have many useful details about Nephrology training. These are found in the older guidelines, which can be found at the above link. Note that the RACP is in the process of changing the structure of Advanced Training; this will include introducing a new curriculum for Nephrology Training. In other words, watch this space!

The official journal of the International Society of Nephrology. Again, as a trainee you're entitled to a discount membership of ISN, which includes a free subscription to KI

Nature Clinical Practice Nephrology
This is included with ISN membership. It's a good way to keep up with recent developments in Nephrology

Nephrology
The official journal of the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology. This is Australia's "local" Nephrology journal. If you're a member of the ANZSN (which you probably should be), you'll have free access to this journal

Societies

Australian and New Zealand Society Of Nephrology
All Advanced Trainees are encouraged to become members of ANZSN

The Transplantation Society of Australia and New Zealand
